Frescopa & Sustainability

At Frescopa, sustainability isn’t a side project.

It’s how we earn trust with every cup.

From the farms we partner with, to the machines we build,
to the way our coffee houses operate day to day, we are
committed to doing business responsibly and improving
over time.

Our sustainability focus covers these core areas

Coffee and Tea Sourcing

Ethical, transparent, and farmer-first.

Great coffee and tea begin with the people and places that grow them. Frescopa is committed to responsible sourcing that supports farmers, protects ecosystems, and delivers consistent quality.

Long-term partnerships

We prioritise long-term supplier relationships wherever possible. Stable buying commitments help farmers invest in quality, their communities, and sustainable farming practices.

Responsible farming practices

We work with suppliers who can demonstrate responsible environmental and labour practices. These expectations are aligned with widely recognised industry standards focused on economic, social, and environmental responsibility.

Continuous improvement

Sustainability is a journey. Rather than claiming perfection, we focus on continuous improvement and learning from proven farmer-support and quality programs across the coffee and tea industry.

Transparency for customers

As Frescopa grows, we will continue to increase transparency around origin, seasonality, and sourcing practices so customers can make informed choices about what they drink.

Machine Manufacturing

Built to last. Designed to be maintained.

We believe the most sustainable machine is the one that doesn’t need to be replaced. Frescopa coffee machines are designed with longevity and responsible manufacturing in mind.

Durability by design

Our machines are engineered for long-term use, with robust components and quality control processes that reduce premature failure.

Repairability and service

We design for maintenance, not disposal. Machines are built with serviceability in mind, using modular components and replaceable parts to extend product life.

Responsible materials and packaging

Where possible, we prioritise responsibly sourced materials and work with manufacturing partners who meet high environmental and ethical standards. We continually review packaging choices to reduce waste and environmental impact.

Stores and Coffee Houses

Lower impact, better experience.

Our coffee houses are where sustainability becomes tangible. From cups and cleaning to water, energy, and waste, we aim to reduce environmental impact while maintaining a great customer experience.

Reducing single-use waste

We encourage the use of reusable cups and in-store serve-ware wherever practical. We continue to improve takeaway packaging choices in line with local recycling and composting capabilities.

Water stewardship

Water is a critical resource in coffee production and preparation. In our stores, we focus on efficient equipment, smart cleaning practices, and ongoing efforts to reduce unnecessary water use.

Energy efficiency

We work to improve energy efficiency across equipment, refrigeration, and store operations. Where feasible, we explore renewable energy options in line with local infrastructure and lease arrangements.

Effective waste separation

We design waste systems that are simple and practical for staff, improving recycling outcomes and reducing contamination.

Circularity
and End-of-Life

Nothing valuable should be thrown away.

Frescopa is committed to building circular practices into our operations. This includes reducing waste, increasing reuse, and supporting recycling systems where local infrastructure exists.

We continue to learn from established circular economy models within the coffee industry and apply those learnings to our own products and operations.

Our commitment is to be clear about what can be recycled, reused, or returned — and to be transparent where limitations exist.

Transparency & Goals

Progress you can track.

Sustainability should be measurable and visible. Over time, Frescopa will publish:

• Clear coffee and tea sourcing standards

• Updates on machine durability and repair initiatives

• Store-level actions across waste, water, and energy

We believe honest reporting and realistic goals matter more than bold claims.
